Revisiting a project / Heirloom III

I have decided to recycle an earlier work that is made of a long linen-based scarf that I have dyed using a batch of rusty keyrings. In the next stage I have made some larger marks using turmeric dye before applying multiple stitches in the sections that did not get stained. I have exhibited this work draped over a chair along with another stained sheet (AD Space, February 2022).

I attempted folding and tying the edges of the piece with some dyed strips of silk to experiment with the idea of a frame. I have also incorporated some of the cut-outs from my old clothes and a pair of tarnished earrings.
